Who was Richard Wagner and who were the key-figures in his life? On this site you will find information about Cosima Wagner, his second wife. She secured the existence of the Bayreuther Festspiele, so we all can still enjoy his works in the surroundings and settings he deemed appropriate. There is some info about King Ludwig II of Bavaria, he offered Richard Wagner the financial security to finish "Der Ring des Nibelungen" and to build the Festspielhaus in Bayreuth.
